If you are looking for a pickup for bulk goods in Framingham, be aware that the website to place curbside pick up orders is not working.
Apparently this is a known issue. Here's the Framingham Public Works reply when I addressed the issue:
Good Afternoon, Unfortunately, we are experiencing a City-wide issue with online forms. You are welcome to come to DPW, 100 Western Ave., tomorrow, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. to pay in person for bulky items. Thank you, and apologies for the inconvenience.

Apparently the form is throwing a CORS error when you put in your address.
When doing your spring cleaning - you may encounter a lot of books that you don't need anymore.
There are many ways to donate used books, and each method has its own benefits. Here are five easy methods to donate your used books:
Sell them online through a site like eBay or Amazon. This is a great option if you want to make some money off of your old books. Just be sure to factor in shipping costs when pricing your items. Check your book's value before getting rid of them using the other means, your book could have value.
Give them to a friend or family member. This is the easiest way to donate your used books because it doesn't require any extra effort on your part. Plus, you can get rid of unwanted books and help out
a loved one at the same time!
Donate them to charity book drives or local libraries . Charitable organizations will often host book drives as fundraisers, so this is a great way for you to give back while getting rid of some clutter at the same time!
Drop them off at secondhand stores like Goodwill or The Salvation Army. These stores will resell your donated items and use the proceeds for charitable causes.
Donate to a local Retirement Home People in retirement homes may want to read some interesting books that you have. Just remember to not include "Photoshop CS2" in your collection. :)
Earlier this month, the Boston Celtics lost to the Golden State Warriors in game 6 of the NBA Finals. It was a bitter ending to a great season.
I thought it would be nice to look back at a happier Celtic moment...

A few years ago, the idea of-an ice skating rink-in your own home would have sounded like something only a millionaire could afford.- Today, innovations in synthetic ice have made it a possibility for anyone. Besides being extremely fun and great for your health, what's also great about it is that-synthetic ice is easy to clean-and has a significantly reduced carbon footprint. This makes it perfect for families who like to stay active together.
Personal Trainer Apps
Thanks to ever-evolving updates in the world of technology, our exercise routines are becoming more and more efficient every day as the-benefits of top personal trainers-become widely accessible and affordable via smartphone apps. Not only does this mean that individuals can receive exercise tips, guidance, and routines based on their unique set of needs. Only those in top income brackets previously had access to the benefits of regular meetings with a personal trainer to help them meet their weight-loss, fitness, or strength-training goals. However, this has been truly revolutionized with modern technology as new apps come out every month with AI virtual personal trainers designing routines that cater to individual needs, and push notifications that keep users motivated and on track.
The times have never been changing quicker, and the technological advances at our fingertips are making exercise, health, and wellness easier to achieve than ever. Consumers now have more options than ever to complete their exercise and aftercare routines at home - or wherever they are in the world, whenever they like.

When you scan items into your computer, using the Apple scanning api, there are several options in the dialog box. This blog post takes a look at those options.
Basic Operations
I would recommend using the 'Auto Selection' and the Detect Separate items. Then make the adjustments as needed. This is an easy way to scan an image into your Mac.
Scan Configurations
Here's is a breakdown of the various configurations that Apple provides.
Scan Mode - Choose Flatbed or Document Feeder from the pop-up menu. Most cases it will be flatbed - where you scan and remove items.
Kind - What type of image are you scanning; Text, Black & White, or Color.
Resolution - What quality scan should you use. I would recommend using
Size - This is the size of the area being scanned. This is important if you know the size of the document you're scanning. This will tell you if you're getting the entire document size.
Rotation Angle - If you didn't place the object straight on the scanner, you will need to adjust the angle. When you adjust the
Image Correction - Adjust the color or exposure of the scanned image. Choose Manual, then adjust the controls. In most cases, you are better off doing this post scan in photo editing software.
Unsharp Mask - Makes the edges of certain image areas clearer. Turn off this option to leave softer edges.
Descreening - Removes the ripple pattern that might appear in subtly shaded image areas, such as skin tones. This option improves results when scanning magazines or newspapers. (The results of descreening do not appear in the preview image, only in your scanned image.)
Backlight Correction - Removes shadows from photos that have too much background light.
Dust Removal - Removes dust marks from your originals automatically.
Framingham was a great place to live, but we have recently moved away and are now living in a town next door. We'll miss living in Framingham but we still get to enjoy some of the things that make Framingham great.
One of the best things about Framingham was its location. It's close to Boston, so it's easy to get into the city for work or fun. But it's also located in a quiet suburb, so it's not as noisy or busy as Boston can be. We're looking forward to being able to walk out our door and be at home instead of having to drive everywhere like we did in Framingham.
Another thing we loved about Framingham was all of the different activities and events that were always going on. There were always new restaurants and shops opening up, too - which is something we definitely don't have near us now! But even though we're no longer living there, we'll still visit often because there's just so much going on that you can't find anywhere else.
We're really going to miss all of that, but at least we can still enjoy it from our new home next door! So if you're looking for a great place to live, be sure to check out Framingham - you won't regret it!
Five Best Pizza Places
Over the years we have done takeout at various pizza places in Framingham. Here are five places that we visit on a frequent bases.
Liberty's Famous Pizza This is the best place we have found for pizza. Their sauce is really good and they have a lot of specialty pizza. They offer a gluten-free crust and my daughter says its the best she has gotten anyplace in Framingham.
The Sub-way Pizza - THis is our go-to place to get pizza or subs. They are close and their prices are cheaper than Liberty's Famous Pizza. We tend to go basic with plain cheese and hamburger and onion pizza.
Centre Pizza - We first stopped here when they were across the street from Framingham State. They moved in 2012 to Temple street - a bit further away from our location. The pizza is good and they introduced some Gluten-Free options. This isn't a place we visit frequently - but if we want to "try something different" this is where we go.
Framingham Bakery - If you've ever been to a kid's birthday party in Framingham chances are you had a tray from Framingham Bakery pizza. This square pizza is great to put in the freezer and enjoy it whenever you want. Each tray gives you 18 square slices. They don't have any gluten-free options - still a great treat if you're looking for regular pizza.
La Catina - They may be known for their fine Italian food - and their pizza is no exception. There's nothing like sitting at the bar with a beer and enjoying a pepperoni pizza (Note: You'll get more pepperoni at Liberty's than anyplace else.)
During the most recent purge. We ended up donating most of our clothes to Savers. Savers is a privately held for-profit thrift store retailer offering second-hand merchandise. They take any donation and their distributors see what items can be sold as second-hand merchandise.
According to financial documents, Savers keeps roughly 83 cents of every dollar it takes in, while the supported charities get only 17 percent.
Our goal wasn't to support savers. Our goal was to donate old clothes to people that may need it. We wanted to get it out of the house and not throw it away.
We did throw away some clothes that were in poor condition - such as holes or had really bad food stains. (Why did we keep them?)
Five Things We Learned
Check various local sources that accept clothing donations. There are some places that may specialize in distributing only children's clothes.
Read up on what places are accepting what. A good read is the "Items we Accept" by the Cradles to Crayons in Boston. The Recycling Partners PDF is a excellent list of places that accept items that you may have.
We reached out to the Facebook community to see if people are looking for certain clothes. We didn't sell them, just let them know the size and season that we had available.
There's no reason to hold on to all the kid's clothes. It's okay to keep a few things that may have sentimental value. However, keeping every item doesn't make sense for future children. You may find that the next child may need certain clothes in different seasons.
We found that clothes stored in bins with lock lids did better than clothes in trash bags. We'll never use trash bags as a means to store clothes - even for seasonal clothes.
As a professional, it's important to you that the software you use is of the highest quality. But what does that mean, exactly? And how can you be sure your software is up to snuff?
There are a few key things to look for when assessing the quality of software: first, how well does it meet your needs and expectations? Second, how reliable and stable is it? And finally, how well does it perform under pressure?
If a piece of software doesn't meet your needs or expectations, then it's not worth using no matter how high its quality may be. You need something that's going to work for you, not against you. So always test out any new software before committing yourself fully.
Reliability and stability are also key factors in determining quality. Software that crashes or freezes all the time isn't going to do you much good - in fact, it might even end up costing you more in lost productivity than if you'd just gone with a lower-quality option. Make sure to check out reviews online before making your decision; they can be helpful in gauging overall reliability.
I recently moved and am just getting situated with getting things back up to normal. It's been a lot of work, but it's finally starting to feel like home.
Here are some of the ways that I've found that help make moving easier:
Make a list of everything you need to do before and after you move. This will help keep you organized and on track.
Label all your boxes with what room they should go in at your new house/apartment. This will save time when it comes time to unpack.
Create a system for organizing your new space once you've moved in. Whether it's using color-coded bins or simply creating specific areas for each type of item, this will help keep everything tidy and easy to find."
I hope to be back to a normal Blog post topic schedule in the next couple of day.
People often overlook the importance of SEO when making videos on YouTube. It's not hard to see why. There are many more aspects to making a video than there are to making a simple blog post or an article. That being said, if you use SEO in your video strategy, you can improve the visibility and reach of all of your videos. This will not only increase your video view time, but it will also catch the attention of your target audience. It is something that will aid you in YouTube retargeting as well. For this reason, we would like to tell you how to optimize your YouTube videos for SEO.
You must optimize your YouTube videos for SEO if you want to benefit from your efforts.
Focus on Your Keywords
Back in the day, all you needed to do was make a quality video, and you would be able to gain traction. However, even though being prolific is essential these days, you need to do more to stand out. When it comes to SEO, it may seem like a losing battle for someone just starting out. There is too much competition from other creators, products, and services. But that is precisely why you must find a way to stand out from the competition. It starts with choosing your keywords as best as you can. Search for the best possible keywords for your video but avoid too popular ones because if they are tied to a competitor who is more prominent than you, they won't have as much of an effect.
Keywords are the most critical elements of optimization because they are how you connect with your audience.
Include Keywords in the Title of Your Video
To make any form of SEO work for your YouTube video, you need to understand what your audience is searching for. If you don't know for sure, maybe it will help you to know that among the most popular search intent on Google are informative, commercial, navigational, and transactional searches. Once you have figured out what your audience is searching for, you need to make a video about that. The next step will be to add the search keyword to your title. This way, when your target audience is looking for something specific, they will come across your video.
Second, according to Movers Development experts, one of the most important things you need to do is to understand who your target audience is and how to get to them. For example, include the product name in the video title and description if you want to highlight a product review. This may seem like an obvious thing to do. However, many amateurs and even professional creators often forget to do this, which usually results in less than stellar reach and views.
Improve the Description of Your YouTube Video
If you make sure to write a well-optimized and clear video description on your video, you will most likely have a better SEO ranking for your video than if you failed to do so. YouTube will review the video whenever you modify or update any YouTube video aspect, including video descriptions, subtitles, closed captions, and video thumbnails. With that said, this can easily backfire if you don't know what you're doing. That is why it's so important to do it correctly. We suggest you include your most important keywords in the first couple of phrases of your description. Other than that, it would be best to keep your description to a maximum of 200 words in length. In general, you should make your description helpful. If it does not assist your viewer, it would be best to get rid of it.
Don't Forget to Use Hashtags for All of Your Video Content
These days hashtags are synonymous with social media, and many people don't usually think about YouTube as a social media, so they avoid using hashtags. Hashtags are there to help people locate the material that answers their requests across a variety of platforms. With that said, you can use hashtags in the descriptions and titles of your YouTube videos. This will help your audience find your video when searching for a specific hashtag. Tags, in particular, assist in boosting search by making relevant trends more evident. Including a hashtag in the video description will appear above the title and get hyperlinked. It's also vital to remember where you put video hashtags in this section. If you include a hashtag in the video title, hashtags from the description will not be shown next to the video title.
Hashtags are important because they make it easier for your audience to find you.
Make Your Thumbnail Unique
Thumbnails are, in a way, much more important than your video title or the description. The first thing people will see when they find your video in their feed is the thumbnail. For this reason, you should make sure that your thumbnail is catchy. Additionally, if you can't naturally incorporate your keyword into the title, you can place it into the thumbnail. As long as you make something that catches people's attention and stands out from the crowd, you won't have any issues.
It would be best to do the same with your channel's logo. If you have an overarching theme for your business or content that you create, your logo can be something that links everything together. For this reason, it is crucial to think about creating a logo. If you have never thought about this, you will be surprised how much of an increase in reach your videos will have once you do something as simple as implementing a logo.
Conclusion
We have covered how to optimize your YouTube videos for SEO, so all you should do is try some of these methods out. As you can see, making your videos reach a larger audience is not that hard. However, it will take a lot of experimentation and patience. Therefore, don't give up if you don't notice huge changes immediately. Give it time, and you will soon be happy with the results.

From a FlyLady Email (July 7, 2002)
Several times each week someone writes and want to know if my home is perfect. All I can say is that we don't live in a museum. I am not striving for perfection, just peace.
Let me make myself clear. I am one of you; I struggle with all the same problems that you do: My Hot Spots catch fire just like yours. I have peace knowing that if you came to my door, I could let you in without fear. I have no clutter.
In 5 minutes all my hot spots could be extinguished. You could open up all of our closets and you would not be in danger of losing your life from falling objects. I could even take you to our basement and Robert's office. This area used to be our dungeon, but they are getting better each week. Our garage is now a workstation for shipping and Robert's office is Computer Central. The space is functional, even if it is not perfect.
So you see, we live in our home. It is our place of refuge from the outside world. It is our work and our play environment. Our home hugs us and makes us feel comfortable. It welcomes our guests without the stress of having to make it look acceptable to strangers, close friends or family. We do not get in a tizzy if we track in a bit of mulch from our garden paths or if the critters leave footprints on the hardwood floors, because we know it is the work of only a few minutes to clean them up. Since I enjoy seeing my kitchen sink shining you would think that I would go into a mad rage if a glass is left there or if I find a few renegade coffee grounds clouding my reflection. No I don't! It is so simple to just fix it instead of upsetting the tranquility of our home. It doesn't matter in the full scheme of things. What doesn't matter really doesn't matter! Why get all upset when you are talking for a few seconds.
Our home is lived in, not put on display for the world to judge. Even though I would be happy to open my doors to anyone and we have at a moment's notice. In a museum, you can't touch; all you can do is look. Our home is enjoyed by us! Not only is it a pleasure to see because we only have things that bring a smile to our hearts, but we can use everything in our home. When was the last time you opened up your china cabinet and served a meal off of your grandmother's china and good silverware?
My peace comes from being able to find things, live and work in a loving environment, and open my door at any time. I want for you the peace that I have found. It all started with shining my sink and establishing simple routines. You can have this too but is doesn't happen overnight. BabySteps will get you there: One small habit at a time and add to each habit until you are able to put together your own rhythm to FLY by!
Are you ready to FLING open your doors and join me FLYing?
The Inquiry Method for Test Planning is a process that helps you plan your tests by identifying and investigating the test objectives. This method can be used to develop both formative and automated assessments.
To use the Inquiry Method for Test Planning, you first need to identify the test objectives. These are specific goals that you want test cases to achieve as a result of running your test. Next, you need to investigate how best to assess each objective. This involves thinking about what type of question or activity will best measure the test cases - understanding of the objective. Finally, you need to create a plan for running the tests and scoring the final responses.
The Inquiry Method for Test Planning is an important tool for creating effective release risk assessments. By beginning with clear objectives and then investigating how best to measure the release success, this process ensures that tests reflect what developers have implemented in the release. Additionally, using an inquiry-based approach allows QA the flexibility in developing assessment items customized to their own test case goals and needs."
If you say Hello, and there is a pause, and then you hear a beep or a bloop or a click type of sound, and then a live agent responds, you were probably called by a predictive dialer.
Sample Audio
A predictive dialer is a computerized system that automates the process of making phone calls. It predicts how many agents are needed to handle the expected volume of incoming calls and then dials those numbers for agents to answer. Predictive dialers are often used by telemarketers, charities, and political campaigns to increase efficiency by automatically connecting potential callers with available representatives.
While predictive dialers can be an efficient way to connect with potential customers or donors, they can also be used as a scam tactic. Some scammers have programmed their predictive dialer software to make repeated calls in quick succession in the hopes of catching someone off guard who will then agree to whatever offer is being made. This type of scam call can be very frustrating for recipients who may not have time for multiple unsolicited phone calls in a row.
If you receive a call from what seems like a random number and it's using a predictive dialer, don't feel bad about hanging up! You're not obligated to listen or speak with anyone who has called you without prior consent. And if you're ever feeling harassed by these types of automated calls, remember that you can always report them to your local telephone service provider or the FTC's National Do Not Call Registry
Take Back Your Phone
Next time you hear the predictive dialer tone, simply hang up the phone. Don't engage in the call anymore. You are pretty safe to assume that the next voice you hear will be a scam or somebody trying to sell you something.
Just hang up. If millions of users did this then at some point the calls will go away.
I am in the process of cleaning out some bins. These have a lot of old computer files from the early 1990s to the mid-2000s.
I found this humor letter that I actually sent to BMG on February 1st, 1995. I believe this was mostly computer-generated using some type of template in a word processer program:
Dear BMG,
I have not been looking forward to this moment, but I think we both felt it was coming. I've enjoyed the time we've been together, but for the last month or so, the magic has been gone. No, don't cry, it's nothing you've done. It's me. When we first met, and you offered all those CDs for such a small price, I thought my dreams had come true. But now... oh I don't know, it just isn't the same. It's true you've offered some great deals, 2 for 1, $4.99 unlimited CDs, but it's just a commitment I can't continue.
Wait. there's more. I've been, uh... purchasing CDs from another place. It's a used CD place. I tried not to, but, they were there, easy to get to, I didn't have to wait, hoping there would be a sale...they were...reasonable priced.
Don't worry. There are others out there who will love what you have to offer. It's just...not what's right for me. I hope I haven't led you on, by sending back the cards asking not to send me the special, and yet giving a false impression that I might buy it next time.
Hi everyone! Just wanted to give you all a heads up that I'll be pretty busy over the next few days and won't be able to keep up with long blog posts. I'll still try to pop in every now and then, but for the most part, I'll be focusing on other things. Thanks for understanding!
You can expect to see regular posts on our website, but they will now be around 500-700 words instead of the usual 1000+.
We hope you enjoy this new format and continue to visit our website for the latest news and updates.

I decided to see what filters and features Corel has that other graphic programs don't have - and is it worth the space on my computer.
AfterShot 3
AfterShot Pro 3 is the latest version of Corel's RAW photo editor. It offers a comprehensive set of features for adjusting, managing, and outputting your photos. AfterShot Pro 3 can handle RAW files from most popular cameras, as well as JPEGs and TIFFs.
One of the program's strong suits is its non-destructive editing environment. You can make adjustments to your photos without harming the original file. This also makes it easy to revert back to an earlier version if you don't like the changes you made.
AfterShot Pro 3 has a number of built-in presets that let you quickly improve your photos with just a few clicks. There are also tools for correcting lens distortion and chromatic aberration, removing noise, and improving detail in shadow areas. You can even create custom presets based on your own preferences or specific shooting conditions
Review and Thoughts
Luminar Neo has more powerful image adjustments. While the "Basic Adjustments" in Corel Aftershot are fine, you do have a lot more power in Luminar Neo and in Photoscape X.
The thumbnail view lets you see previews of images in a particular folder, and the thumbnails appear below the editor which is nice.
This is an application that would work well if I took a bunch of pictures at an event and there was some color correction that needed to be done before I sent it to a client.
There are a ton of camera profiles available to help fix images.
There's no filters or effects in Corel AfterShot 3.
The standard tools let you adjust the Temp, Brightness, Exposure, Highlights, Fill Light, Blacks, Contrast, Saturation, Vibrance, Hue, and Sharpening.
Final Thoughts
This isn't an application that I am likely to use that much. PhotoScape and Affinity Photo has a lot of similar functions. They also offer a lot more features that AfterShot is missing - such as advanced touch-ups and the ability to use masks and layers.
Framingham Cushing Memorial Park is a beautiful spot for a walk, picnic, or just to relax. It's located on the edge of Framingham and Ashland, making it easy to get to either town. There are plenty of benches and tables throughout the park for visitors to use, as well as playground equipment and a large field perfect for games or Frisbee. The park also has several lovely gardens that change with the seasons.
In the summer there's nothing better than spending an afternoon at Cushing Memorial Park!
History Fun Facts
Property was once owned by R. H. Long Motors Company where they made Bay State model cars.
In 1926, The War Department purchased the property to build a hospital.
On Jan 25, 1944, the Cushing General Hospital was dedicated. The hospital specialized in neuro-surgery and general military needs. It was named in honor of the doctor who pioneered head wound treatment in World War I.
The hospital closed in 1953. The State of Massachusetts acquired the hospital as a geriatric hospital. The state closed the hospital in 1991 when tough economic conditions prevented the state from doing major upgrades.
In 1994, there was an article at the Town Hall Meeting to acquire the property from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for recreation purposes. The article passed and the town acquired the property.
March 2000 - During the town tercentennial the area was named Tercentennial Park.
In 2006, Linda Libby, a Parks, and Recreation employee led a petition drive to name the park after Dr. Harvey Cushing.
In 2007, The Recreation Commission officially renamed the park Cushing Memorial Park.
General Information Fun Facts
The 57-acres park has 1.5 miles of circular trail perfect for an afternoon walk or run.
There are seven GeoCache objects hidden in the park. This is a fun activity for the whole family, and it's a great way to get outdoors and explore nature. The caches are well-hidden, so you'll need to use your detective skills to track them down. Good luck!
The park is a great place to take fall family pictures - plenty of trees have bright colors in the early days of October. In addition, there is a gazebo that is decorated for the season.
The 9/11 memorial at Cushing Park is in remembrance of Framingham residents that died on September 11, 2001. Every September 11th there is a special memorial service and American Flags are planted all around the memorial.
The City of Framingham has long-term plans to put in an artificial pond and a small pavilion near the children's grove. The pavilion is to accommodate community events
There are plans - now in progress - to expand the park. The parking lot off of Dr. Harvey Cushing Way is currently closed - the parking lot pavement will be removed and grass will be placed.
Are you doing your spring cleaning? Making frequent trips to the dump? Maybe its time to think about getting a household dumpster for a couple of weeks?
Dumpsters are great for disposing of large quantities of waste quickly and easily. They're perfect for spring cleaning when you have a lot of clutter to get rid of. And they're also great for big projects like remodeling your kitchen or bathroom. Instead of making multiple trips to the dump, you can just load everything up and wheel it away!
Renting a dumpster is easy - just call your local waste management company and they will deliver one right to your driveway. You can choose from different sizes depending on how much waste you need to dispose of. Most companies offer weekly or bi-weekly pickups, so you can always have a clean driveway!
Things We Learned
The cost of a dumpster has gone up. It now costs about $440 to rent a 10-yard dumpster for two weeks. If you need more time - some places will let you keep it for an additional $10 a day. Two weeks should be enough time!
A dumpster is a must-have when you decide to move. You can use a dumpster to get rid of all those things in the basement - many of which you haven't seen in years.
If you don't have a lot of things to discard - team up with your neighbor and share the expense. We did this for several years with one of our neighbors to help with the spring cleaning.
The size of the dumpster depends on what you need. I would suggest starting small and then working up from there. Understand the height limit of the dumpster. If you're unsure about whether or not something will fit , ask someone at the rental company before making your rental decision.
Note: Some recycle drop-off centers will take certain things for free such as magazines, shoe boxes or metal. Don't overload the dumpster with things that you can easily dispose of for free. (Framingham Recycle center will also accept rigid plastics - such as playground equipment)
Don't put a grill in your dumpster if you can drop it off at the recycling center for free! This goes for lawn chairs!
Know what can and cannot be thrown away in a dumpster. Certain items, like electronics and hazardous materials, should not be disposed of in this way. Check with your local dumpster company for a list of prohibited items. Keep in mind that corrugated cardboard should be recycled!
Don't fill it up too high - You don't want to overload the dumpster and have it topple over onto your property or worse, into the street! Be careful not to put too much weight on top of it.
Dumpsters can have an additional charge if it weighs too much. Usually, the first 1-ton is included in the price.
One ton is equivalent to 100-trash bags that weigh 100-pounds each. That's a lot of trash!
Velocity is one of the most important measures of success in agile development. The higher the velocity, the more software functionality a team can deliver, and the more value is created for customers. However, there are many factors that can affect velocity, so it's important to track it carefully and adjust as needed.
There are several ways to measure velocity: in story points, hours, or ideal days. Some teams prefer to use story points because they're relative and don't depend on how long something takes to complete. Other teams prefer to use hours or ideal days because they're more specific and easier to track.
No matter which method you choose, it's important to keep track of your team's velocity over time so you can identify any trends or changes that might be affecting your ability to deliver value for your customers
Things I Learned
Velocity is a measure of how much the team can complete in an iteration. It is generally measured in terms of the number of user story points completed in a sprint.
The higher the velocity, the more work the team can complete. This allows for shorter iterations and faster feedback cycles, which leads to better products.
While velocity should not be used as the only metric for determining whether or not a team is successful, it is an important indicator that should be tracked over time.
Velocity is not useful as a team measure until you have completed at least three sprints with a fixed team of people.
Sprint retrospective meetings should always focus on ways to improve the team's velocity.
Things to Consider at a Retrospective Meeting
Three good questions to ask:
Is the team delivering at maximum velocity?
What is slowing down the team to deliver more quality code?
What can the team do differently to improve velocity?
Chemical People was a two-part TV program examining the scope of drug and alcohol abuse among schoolchildren. The show aired on November 2, 1983.
Viewers learn how to spot which children are taking drugs and where to ship them for rehabilitation. Featured Nancy Reagan and Bruce Weitz, Chemical People provides an in-depth look at this growing epidemic, while also providing solutions for parents, educators, and children alike.
Bruce Weitz Skit
One of the memorable moments of the show was the "Magic Man" skit on the show. Here is the skit from my video collection:

I found this document when cleaning up my home office. There's no date on this, but I believe that its sometime around the late 1990s.
First, you make it easy for visitors/users to find your site: get an easy to remember and appropriate "domain name"; advertise in the right places; list your services in various sites that maintain a list, such as Yahoo; announce your site in various appropriate newsgroups and listservers; let other potentially interested webmasters know about your site; include your web address in all your publications, advertisements, announcements, etc. Make it easy to find.
Second, you need to create an attractive and well-designed site. Utilize graphic artists and professional writers to boost your site. The design of your site should reflect the knowledge level of your client/customer/visitor and what they appreciate. Balance the fancy new browser features with what you believe your typical visitor might have for a browser and bandwidth capacity. Remember that including large 24-bit graphics, audio and movies can slow down the delivery to your viewers to a crawl on a 14,400 modem. Make your site not only exciting and attractive but also effective.
Third, create a guideline and standard for where the files will be placed in your directory structure and in the virtual web link that branch off from your home/index page. Write a style manual for pages not only reflecting design standards but also writing formulas and criteria. Plan and maintain document flow. Know who is working on what document, and where. Keep version. Create your own templates specific to your organization and documents. Create a distinct and consistent look for your site. Use the Netscape SiteManager and Netscape Gold-Editor to help you manage and implement these features. Plan in advance.
Fourth, make sure that information is easily found on your site. Supply various navigation links, such as buttons, lists, imagemaps, etc., to allow the user to find the information they need. Highlight major information that you or your visitor would want to know. Use graphics, font size, color, etc., to emphasize various topics. Make your site easy to use.
Fifth, you want your visitor to come again and again to your site. To this end, make sure you update your site regularly and provide information that others wish to have above and beyond the simple specification of your products and services. You have plenty of space to provide more detailed information. Your visitor has come this far because they are interested, keep their interest by creating a well-designed and informative site. Do not underestimate the intelligence and don't stereotype one type of person. Maintain a varied set of facts, and make your site the site for anyone wishing to know anything about your main subject. Include links to other sites of interest to your visitors. Provide additional information that might interest a visitor. If you wish to use your website as a place of commerce, then consider it more of an "infomercial" than a commercial. Even better, consider your site the expert area for anyone interested in your product and/or service, a place that is also regularly updated with new and relevant information. For example, if you are selling cooking pots, provide recipes, history of culinary arts and utensils, testimonials of others and how they used your pot, instruction on how to use the pot, awards for the best use or based on the number of visitors that have visited your site, etc. Make your site a regularly visited bookmark/hot list for your clients/customers.
Sixth, take advantage of the capabilities of your server, site manager, and editor. Learn and use these tools to enhance your site. A website is not a re-print of your company brochure, it includes a lot more capabilities. Take advantage of the interactivity, multimedia, and programming capabilities of the web. For example, you can have users register their products, fill out a survey, use your website as a place for customer service and technical help/support, allow the visitor to search through various technical documents for the information they need, and have them buy your products, watch a presentation with sound and graphics, see a demo, etc. Also, don't limit the capability of the website for only external use- use it internally for inter-departmental exchange of information, sharing of documents, managing a project, discussions, etc. Use the Netscape Guru and test various site options that might be of use to you. Be creative.
Finally, make sure you are ready for the number of visitors you might have. Know your server and allow for the bandwidth needed to provide the best service for your visitors. A service that is slow or difficult to access becomes a service not to access. Be prepared.

Style App is a pretty cool app that converts an image into an art piece. It's pretty cool because you could have a boring image and with a simple click of a button - you have a prize-winning art piece that would sure to pick up some $$$ in an NFT auction.
Product Description
Utilizing artificial intelligence and neural networks, Style App will take an image or video that you supply it and apply a style to your media.
The only problem is that since 2020, the application has failed to work. When you try to convert an image you get a dialog box that says, "Python cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified."
Here's the technical error in the macOS console log:
ASP: Library load (/private/var/folders/yj/rkhkt9915kv1c5py9jpzspdr0000gn/T/io.macdaddy.Style/_MEIZFeMx5/Python) rejected: library load disallowed by system policy
There's nothing you can do to get this working. It would be risky to try to run the application as the "root" user, as you don't know what other changes are also broken.
The folks at MacDaddy have to fix this application so that it will work again - not sure if the application has been abandoned as the website hasn't been updated in a while.
These are some of the designs that you can create:
Some Examples of Style that I did back in 2017
Stlye Effect Names
It appears that some styles have been removed from preview versions of the app. Here is the list of style names:
Image Tricks by Belight Software - They have many of the similar styles that are found in Style App.
Graphic Converter - The Filter and Effect menu have a ton of effects that you can apply to images.
Photoscape X - Has about 40 different effects that you can apply. You can't "apply all" as separate images as you do in Style App, but spend about 5-mins and you'll certainly find something creative.
At the intersection of Union Avenue and Main street is called Buckminster Square. At the oval island is a Minuteman statue. (June 2021 Note: The minuteman statue has been removed because of construction. The statue will return in 2024.)
Fun Facts About the Statue
Name of the statue is "Minute Man of '76"
In 1889, the town of Framingham granted an appropriation for a statue. Buckminster Square was selected as it was part of the old colonial period. (This was near the site of the Buckminster Tavern.)
Henry and Theo Alice Kitson were asked to make the statue - they are best known for the Lexington Revolutionary War statue, which was recently completed. Henry Kitson was ill during the construction of the statue and Theo Alice Kitson, his wife, completed the work.
Theo Alice Ruggles Kitson name is on the base of the statue.
Henry and Theo Alice Kitson separated shortly after the minuteman statue was completed. Theo Alice Ruggles Kitson moved to Framingham in 1926 - they originally lived in Sherborn.
The statue was dedicated on Memorial Day Tuesday, May 30th. 1905. A time capsule was placed in the base of the statue.
When the statue was placed in 1905 it was facing South. It was moved in 1941 to face Concord - the direction the Framingham Minuteman would be heading.
The statue was moved 45-degrees in August 2011 when a drunk driver's car crashed into the statue.
Savers is encountering a staff shortage like every other retail business in 2022. Because of this shortage, they cannot go through all the donations - especially now during the busy spring cleaning period. As a result, most of the things that get donated are just thrown away.
Donating to Savers is not helping anyone out - it's actually doing more harm than good. By donating to Savers, you're essentially contributing to the wastefulness of our society. There are better ways to donate your belongings and help those in need.
There are plenty of local charities that would love your donations - and they'll make sure everything gets put to good use! Contact your local charity and ask how you can best help out their cause. You'll be making a real difference in someone's life, rather than contributing to the destruction caused by Savers' staff shortage."
Some Tips
Donate Clothes - There are so many benefits to washing and donating unused clothes! Not only do you get rid of clutter, but you also help someone in need. By donating clothes that are still in good condition, you're providing a person who may not be able to afford new clothing with some much-needed apparel. So before you toss out those old clothes that are just taking up space, take a few minutes to wash them and donate them. You'll feel great knowing that you've helped someone in need, and your closet will be less cluttered too!
Donate Books at Thrift Shops - Thrift shops are a great place to donate your old books. Not only will you be helping out a good cause, but you may also receive a tax deduction for your donation. Thrift shops often need new books to restock their shelves, so your donation will be put to good use.
Old Small Appliances - Donating your used appliances to the Salvation Army is a great way to help those in need and get rid of your old appliances at the same time. The Salvation Army will pick up your old appliances and donate them to people who need them. This is a win-win situation for everyone involved.
Art Supplies - Donate art supplies at Make & Mend! Art is a powerful tool for expression and creativity, and everyone should have access to it. By donating your unused art supplies to Make & Mend, you can help us provide creative opportunities for people of all ages. They appreciate your support!
