Savers is encountering a staff shortage like every other retail business in 2022. Because of this shortage, they cannot go through all the donations - especially now during the busy spring cleaning period. As a result, most of the things that get donated are just thrown away.
Donating to Savers is not helping anyone out - it's actually doing more harm than good. By donating to Savers, you're essentially contributing to the wastefulness of our society. There are better ways to donate your belongings and help those in need.
There are plenty of local charities that would love your donations - and they'll make sure everything gets put to good use! Contact your local charity and ask how you can best help out their cause. You'll be making a real difference in someone's life, rather than contributing to the destruction caused by Savers' staff shortage."
