I just update the Quicktime Feature section of this website. I have been busy trying to get the back-end database working so that its easy to add and manage Quicktime movies.
Currently there are 83 movies available, most of them are classic commercials from the dot com era and some 1980s commercials. I still have about 35 clips that are on the server that I need to make public.
My focus now is to actually add content to the movies. It would be better to have something on the page that worth's reading that is related to the clip.
Go ahead and check out the Quicktime movies and enjoy some of my favorite commericals.

I can't believe that it has been 4,500 days since I own the cryan.com domain. How things have changed!
On April 11 1998, in my studio apartment using my dialup access from Netwizards I sign up for the cryan.com domain. At the time Yahoo was the hottest internet search site, you could get high speed internet from ATT via @Home, Apple was trying to survive and Google was still just a concept on paper waiting to get capital funding.
I know this site hasn't changed that much over the years, see the Wayback Machine version of this site in 2004. I plan to continue to add valuable content to this site. I have some really cool ideas planned.Like all great plans, it all starts with action. I am highly committed to making this site useful and fun to visit.
Thank you for visiting this site and I certainly hope it was entertaining and useful for you.

Every time you visit the homepage on this site, a random fortune cookie appears in the left navigation. These are actual fortune cookies that I have received over the years.
As of today, there are 74 fortune cookies in the database. I update the database every time I get a new fortune cookie. Sometime in the future, I'll display all the entries on a page.

The website server that this site is hosted on was updated last week. I haven't had the chance to look around the site to see if there's anything broken. There are a few issues that I need to let the hosting provider know about, but otherwise things look pretty good.
The new server has the latest PHP and MySQL code, so this will help with coding on this site. I am not sure if there's any compatible issues with the database migration, the homepage is working fine, and there's a few database calls that being used.

Quicktime Movie Gallery
Last night I updated the QuickTime movie gallery. For some reason not all the movies were being shown in the gallery.
I fixed the database sorting issue and enhanced the gallery by displaying more images per page. There's still plenty of quicktime movies that I need to put in the gallery. I have 188 quicktime movies on the server but only have 50 in the gallery.

Works in IE8!
I just testing this site using IE 8, which was officially released last night. I didn't encounter any issues using the latest browser from Microsoft.
I still think that Firefox is the better browser to use on this site and will continue to build the site around FireFox and Google Chrome.
