I am working on updating some of the functionality on the Real Audio pages, including using a play list. This seems to be pretty easy functionality to implement based on some specs that I found. The problem I am encountering is how the browser is mapping .m3u extensions. It turns out that if you have iTunes installed it will open the play list in iTunes. This won't work because iTunes can't play Real Audio sounds. You can try a sample Random play list, which will play at least 5 random audio files from my collection. I am working on making each Real Audio category have its own play list. Once its done, I'll add a new posting to the Blog.

Today I donated blood at the Red Cross blood drive in the building that I am in. A question came up at the snack table afterwards: How soon can I donate blood again?Regulations in the United States allow people to donate whole blood once every 56 days. The waiting period between donations can be different for other blood components. For example, donating only platelets in a process called apheresis requires only a 3 day wait before a person can give again. Donating two units of red blood cells through a similar process doubles the waiting period to 112 days. This means I'll be able to donate again on Wednesday, June 10, 2009. The whole process took less than an hour, some people took longer because they felt dizy afterwards. I had a slice of Pizza, some mini-chocolate chips and Grape Juice.

I am not the best speller in the world, and that's why I am glad there's a spell checker in most applications that I use: Outlook and Firefox. Is there a reason Visual Studio doesn't have a spell checker? I found a very useful link to the 100 most often words misspelled. This is very useful to know, and better to start memorizing some of the spelling rules.
