Julie Leach Fake Accounts

If you're on Twitter, watch out for strange communications from "Julie Leach." This is a scam by a group of people pretending to be someone looking to "give away money" to strangers for absolutely no reason.

Who is Julie Leach?

In October 2015, The real Julie Leach won $310 million in the Powerball Lottery. There are many YouTube videos about her winning and her plans after the winnings.

Impostors are Everywhere

Just look at all the fake accounts created on Twitter. (Twitter closes the accounts as soon as they are notified.)

Don't Follow Back

The scam starts by them following you, and then when you follow back you'll get notified that you have won a giveaway.

So why is this bad?

They will require an activation fee of $500 for your documentation and stamped clearance. To pay this activation fee you need to use a Steam Gift Card or an Amazon Gift Card.

Amazon Gift Cards are to pay for Amazon. From Amazon's Gift Card site:

Alan mazon I was scammed by this Miss Leach lottery winner. How do I report these people they need to be stopped before they get anybody else. My phone number is 442-282-9043 please contact me so we can stop these people. The man communicating with me says his name is Michael Neal.1-360-4097371 and this is the phone number he is using. Please help me bring this guy to Justice before he hurts anybody else

Aaron harvey ic3pheonix89 followed me and I followed back with Julie leach scam on TWITTER.I want to shoot you $50,000 but I need money to send! SCAM! then I give them a few details and they txt me from 18575763294 for more details, rush me and say not to call! SCAM! Watch out!

Sophie I almost fell for the scam well kind of did, I sent them 50 dollars and then they asked for more so I got suspicious and started looking things up. After I found out what these people were doing I emidiatley blocked the numbers and reported their social media pages.
