Red Sox Win game 4!
At 1:30 this morning the Red Sox finally woke up! David Ortiz hit a homerun in the 12th inning which resulted in a win again the New York Yankees in Game 4.

Tonight the baseball game starts at 5pm. I have a feeling that productivity around New England will drop around 3:30 this afternoon. In fact, since the game ended so late, I bet a lot of people decided to "work from home" today.

Last night I watched the game from home and used the WEEI as the audio. I noticed that the game on TV was about 1.5 seconds behind the radio feed. It made it weird to watch the game.

I am not sure if the delay was from FOX or from TIVO caused the delay. I'll test it later tonight since the CC Radio I have also picks up channel 7, and I can see if the delay also happens during a news broadcast.

Red Sox Loose
Well, the Red Sox lost game one. What looked like a blowout by the Yankees turned into a tight game in the later innings.

Today the big debate is what will New Englanders will be watching on TV tonight. Game 2 of the ALCS and the third presidential debate are on tonight.

I suspect that the overnight ratings will show that most New Englanders care more for the results of the baseball game than who wins the final debate.

Red Sox vs Yankees
Tonight is game 1 of the ALCS series against the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees.

All the local networks started with this mornings newscast about the big game tonight. Even the local papers have special covers and coverage of the series.

Some people think that the Red Sox will sweep the Yankees. I predict that the Red Sox will probably take game 1, loose game 2, but will win the series with Padro in game 6.

This is a rematch from last year, watch for the sparks to fly...

Hollywood couldn't come up with a better script...

2004 Baseball Season
The Red Sox Magic number is 161.

This morning the New York Yankees lost their first game of the 2004 season to the Tampa Bay Devil Ray in Japan.

No riots in the Back Bay in Boston, not one car was flipped over, not one beer bottle was thrown into Mass Ave.

Its going to be a long season, which brings up an interesting questions: Who will have more press coverage over the next 7 months, the Red Sox and Yankees or George W. Bush and John Kerry?

With gas prices in Boston at $2 and the cheapest ticket at Fenway cost $20, we are better off walking to the nearest pub and watching the game with a cold beer.

Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson appeared tonight on Larry King Live, six days after her Superbowl half time appearance. The interview focus more on her life and the new album than the Superbowl controversy. Oddly enough she has a new album coming out this week.

The Recording Academy has installed a 5 minute delay on the Grammy Awards to prevent another media disaster.
